Join us for chats on various panels ranging from general femslash, hot topics, graphics to fandom specifics, eg. Rizzoli and Isles, Xena, Star Trek Voyager. Check the timetable. See you there!
More information about the Convention can be found on the official website: www.femslashcon.com.
The 2011 FemSlashCon, the only fully online Con devoted to all things femslash, is fast approaching on July 16 and 17. The committee has been hard at work creating panels and we need your input. Select the link that best matches your time zone and help select the fandoms that will be represented by panels this year. There’s a long list to choose from, but with so many available it would be impossible not to miss a few in making the list. If your particular favorites aren’t there just add them in the text box and they’ll be counted when the results are totaled. Feel free to link the poll to your favorite community or archive, with moderator permission, of course. Thanks so much and we hope to see you all at FemSlashCon this year.
So pick your timezone, check your favourite fandoms, and click Vote Now.
On the 17th July, 2010, the third annual International Day of Femslash is scheduled to take place. To mark the occassion and participate in the celebration, the Passion & Perfection collective are sponsoring the first ever, as far as we know, femslash convention.
Once again, I'll be doing things a little differently this week, as F4F briefly moves away from interviews and individual fandoms to talk about a larger phenomenon in femslash. And I'll be your moderator, not your host, during the next LIVE show on Thursday, February 18th, 2010, at 10 PM EST:
This Week with David Brinkley . . . well, no, he's dead, and there sure as hell ain't no George Will here. But the format remains the same. "This week" I'll be moderating a panel of past guests and new ones, and we'll be discussing the dearth of femslash fanfic out there for TV sitcoms. I've talked with authors about many dramas, and several cartoons, but only one sitcom (Facts of Life). And there's not a whole lot more out there to talk about. Are lesbians just not funny? Are we writers the not funny ones? Or is the "com" in "sitcom" creating hangups? My fellow panelists will be first-timer bebitched, who created the Livejournal community officegirlslash; "Facts of Life" guest random_flores; "Glee" guest kben; and "Birds of Prey" guest hawkbehere. Together we'll discuss fledgling fandoms like "The Office", "Scrubs", "Better Off Ted", and "Parks & Recreation, as well as why Jo/Blair from "Facts of Life" seems to be the only sitcom pairing from that era to gain any sort of traction with readers.
Live audience members are encouraged to call in at (347) 637-1231 to share their own impressions on this topic. And all past shows can of course be downloaded at http://www.blogtalkradio/com/allaine.
Title: Five Times Gretchen Changed Liz' Day Author: allaine77 Pairing/Character: Liz/Gretchen Rating: PG (profanity) Disclaimers: All characters belong to NBC and "30 Rock". Summary: Short scenes from five Season One episodes where things might have gone differently for Liz if she had been dating Gretchen. Loose sequel to "Adorable Little Lesbian". Spoilers/Season/Episode etc : Spoilers for Season One through "The 'C' Word". X-post: 30rockfanfic, passion_perfect Note: These scenes are told in chronological order, except for "The Baby Show", which is intentionally saved for last. ________________________________________
Title: Adorable Little Lesbian (2/2) Author: allaine77 Pairing/Character: Liz/Jenna, Liz/Gretchen? Rating: PG (profanity) Disclaimers: All characters belong to NBC and "30 Rock". Summary: People thought Liz was a lesbian all her life, and damn it, she wasn't going to accommodate them. Even if they might have been right. Spoilers/Season/Episode etc : Spoilers for Season One, "Blind Date" X-post: 30rockfanfic, passion_perfect Note: I've seen all of Season Four so far, but other than that, I've only seen the first three episodes of Season One. So this is my first 30 Rock fic. But considering how accurately Jack reads Liz in the first two episodes, I just can't believe he'd be so wrong in Episode Three. ___________________________________________

I'm reopening/extending the Multi-Fandom Femslash PostSecret Challenge at my journal, as there weren't a huge amount of entries, and life has been pretty crazy. It will now close at Friday the 4th 12.01am GMT//Saturday 12.01pm NZ//8.01pm Eastern//7.01pm Central... etc.
The choice of voting for the entries won, so please comment at the post (it will be screened) if you don't want yours voted on, and I'll create a separate post for them. Also, the selection of banners for prizes won, so I'll be making banners for the winners (as well as the participants if you like).
